Students enrolling in Grades 6 through 12 must have successfully finished their last academic year in a recognised institution. In the case of International A Level Uganda, students have to have successfully completed Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification to enrol in Grade 11. This stage is based on the Cambridge system of the Lower Secondary, and is offered in 5 core subjects plus a wide selection of electives. Students are trained in critical thinking and confidence in the subject well before examinations come into play.
