Ms. Alexandra Stevens

Ms. Alexandra Stevens is an experienced, energetic and enuthusiastic educator of over 17 years.

Education: B.Com (Hons) University of Edinburgh(1995) , PGCE University of Manchester (2007), QTS (2007)

Ms Alexandra Stevens has been teaching as a fully qualified teacher in Economics and Business across both Independent schools and outstanding state schools and colleges for over 17 years. More recently she has been working as an online tutor in Economics and Business for a prestigious international online school. In addition, she has extensive industry experience as a senior manager in the energy sector in the UK for over six years meaning she has practical application of learning to real life situations.  She is an experienced examiner for Pearson Edexcel.

With her examining experience she can signpost students to “quick wins” in their exam technique and she has proven her ability to promote significant grade improvements, sometimes in a relatively short period of support. She has a friendly approach making her students feel welcome and enthusiastic for their learning. She has great expertise in engaging students in the online classroom and students report that her lessons make them enthusiastic to find out more and extend their learning beyond the classroom. A high majority of her students achieve outstanding outcomes and continue on to top university courses including London School of Economics, Oxbridge and top Russell group universities.
