Marcela started her career teaching Fine Arts, Art History, Colour Theory, and Ceramics at the National Arts University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. There, she worked for an Art Foundation and ran a pottery studio. This background gave her a good foundation in drawing, visual art techniques, and knowledge of materials and 3D construction.
After moving to Asia in 2001, she specialised in Visual Arts and Spanish Language while working for the University of Hong Kong for over a decade. In addition, she contributed as an examiner in I/GCSE, IB and Dele. Although she has been teaching both subjects in recent years, she has moved to teach from university to International Schools based on IB and I/GCSE programmes. Her background and experience have helped her to build a design programme, from visual art foundations and material experimentation to integrated software like Adobe, Sketch Pro, and Procrete.
