Helen is a UK-based qualified Science (Biology) teacher with over 18 years of teaching experience. She has taught in a range of secondary schools in the north of England, working one to one and with small groups in the private tuition sector. She is excited by the recent expansion in online education and the freedom, flexibility and opportunity it offers students.
With her teaching experience spanning almost two decades in highly dynamic learning environments, she understands how students from all backgrounds and academic abilities learn and have the pedagogical techniques to engage and motivate them.
She has worked with many international students in Europe and Asia and supported students’ admissions to highly selective independent schools. She is familiar with all UK and international exam board requirements and has been an A-level examiner.
Her teaching style is calm, clear and friendly. She loves to share her passion and knowledge of the subject with students and use real-world examples wherever possible to develop their curiosity and scientific thinking.
